Haidilao Hot Pot, Chatswood
Cuisine: Chinese
Address: Shop 607/1 Anderson St, Chatswood NSW 2067
I'm generally not a big fan of chain restaurants, but Haidilao is a fun and vibrant place to be if you're craving for a hot pot. It's always a good idea to book before you go there, because the lines can be crazy for dinner.

You can choose up to 4 soup bases for your hot pot. Ideally, you choose a couple of broths for drinking (tom yum and pork/chicken on the right) and the other two for cooking your chosen ingredients (tomato and spicy szechuan on the left).

They serve free fruit and have an extensive sauce bar. The recipes on the wall help you pair some dipping sauces with your chosen ingredients at the table.

Bonus: We were treated to a bian lian performance – an ancient Chinese dramatic mask changing dance.
